Making the Invisible, Visible Webinar: Lessons Learned from a Hispanic/Latino Migrant and Seasonal Farm Worker Needs Assessment

Join us to hear findings from the latest diabetes needs assessment for Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers (MSFWs). We will highlight educational needs for diabetes and prediabetes and learn about culturally and/or linguistically tailored materials for the MSFWs. You will also get a sneak peek at a new MSFW diabetes web page. Presented by the HHS Office on Minority Health Resource Center (OMHRC) and highlighting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP) resources for the MSFW audience.

Objectives:

1. Discuss the findings of a MSFWS needs assessment in the following areas: educational needs of MSFWs with respect to prediabetes and diabetes and availability of tailored materials, message, products, or campaigns for this audience.

2. Learn about the new CDC/NDEP MSFWs webpage.

3. Strengthen collaborating efforts among National Health Agencies to contribute to reduce diabetes among vulnerable populations in the USA by expanding outlets for capacity building among Health Professionals and CHWs/Promotores de Salud serving Hispanic/Latino populations.
