Oregon’s Racist History & Action Steps for Immigrant Justice: Workshop w/ Jakki Durón of Forward Together

  • Reed College, Performing Arts Building, Room 332 3203 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

Created with One Oregon, this introductory workshop helps participants learn more about Oregon’s immigrant and refugee communities and proposed ballot measures in 2018 that would target immigrant communities and communities of color. Come learn about the history of white supremacist policies in Oregon and how to join the fight against ballot measure IP22, whose sponsor organization is tied to national white supremacist and neo-nazi players. Jakki Durón is the Oregon Field Organizer at Forward Together, a national multi-racial, multi-gender organization with an Oregon-state program that centers women of color, trans and non-binary people of color, and Indigenous people. Free and open to the public!
